Especially now, school shootings have become a big topic in the United States. With all of the recent school shootings, like at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and Santa Fe High School, the big issue is how to stop these acts of terror from happening any more. It's more important now than ever that gun control legislation is passed across the country. If there are more regulations on guns, then people will have less access to deadly weapons with the power to kill. School shootings have also become unique to America; few, if any, other countries have mass school shootings as frequently as we do here. That's why this is an important issue to discuss and solve.

March For Our Lives

At the March For Our Lives rally in Washington D.C., there were over 800,000 people in attendance to support the survivors of Parkland and demand stricter gun control across the country. This is a picture looking west, away from the stage showing the vast number of people from across the country to rally for gun control.

America vs. the World

This graph shows a comparison between the number of school killings with multiple victims between 2000 and 2010 in the United States and in 35 other countries. The data shows that America alone had only one less school killing than those other 35 countries combined.
